Enlightenment lockup on login

I just installed RH 6.1 on an Intel box yesterday...

I've found that Enlightenment is only letting me log in once under an 
ordinary user account. After that, if I try to use that account again, it 
locks up at 94% of the "Enlightenment starting" progress screen. Logging in 
as root presents no problem. I've deleted and created several accounts in 
Linuxconf, and have had the same result every time.
