Thanks to several helpful people on this mailing list, I was finally
able to get GNOME compiled and functional on Solaris! Thanks to those
of you that were so helpful!
I'm trying to compile gnumeric, which was one of the principal reasons I
wanted to run GNOME on Solaris, but I'm having some difficulty
completing this. Make is erroring out with the following message:
In file included from boot.c:21:
excel.h:12: libole2/ms-ole.h: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [boot.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory
`/home/ginn/gnu-tools/download/gnome/gnumeric-0.56/plugins/excel'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/ginn/gnu-tools/download/gnome/gnumeric-0.56/plugins'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/ginn/gnu-tools/download/gnome/gnumeric-0.56'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
I don't have a file called ms-ole.h anywhere in the tarball I
downloaded. I'm using gnumeric 0.56. Is there a patch I need to apply?
Thanks,
Aaron
