centered background problems

with the latest helix update if you try to center an image on the background -
no image will show up.  anyone see this bug?  anyone know of a fix?

...It's REAL ROUND..  And it's got a POINTY PART right in the MIDDLE!!
 The shape is SMOOTH..  ..And COLD.. It feels very COMFORTABLE on my
 CHEEK..  I'm getting EMOTIONAL..
