I suggested looking at the FAQ at

If you are using sawfish you might want to try that. If it doesn't
work (as it didn't for the original poster) you could see

which is a slightly more complicated solution. I am going to put
that in the FAQ, but I haven't yet :)
For people who find searching the main archives a pain, there
is a more easily-searchable archive (for several GNOME lists)
