What is desk guide supposed to do?

In the 0.40 RPMS, just about everything works for me, except this applet
called desk guide.  When I run it, the output in the xconsole is:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
  serial 843 error_code 3 request_code 2 minor_code 0
Gdk-ERROR **: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
  serial 844 error_code 3 request_code 61 minor_code 0

Is that happening because I use WindowMaker .60, not Enlightenment?
