Re: GNome slow on Linux Mandrake

But I only have 3 gmc's, which are my icons. Sometimes I have to wait for
half a minute to start it up.
Also, I don't have this problem in SuSE 6.1.

One of the difference between SuSE 6.1 and Mandrake is the Linux-PAM
support. Is it responsible?

At my system it was slow because gmc used to much memory!
Not one gmc, but before I solved the problem at my system, I ran 27 * gmc.
