gnumeric won't start up :-(

Upgraded a bunch of Gnome realted stuff a couple of weeks ago (from
gurulabs) and then went out of town.

Now that I am back I find that gnumeric will no longer start up. I get
	the folowing:

Script started on Sun Oct 10 17:12:00 1999
[stan@judah stan]$ gnumeric
Cannot read file /home/stan/.gnome/fonts/fontmap :
gzopen failed: No such file or directory
Cannot read file /usr/share/fonts/fontmap :
gzopen failed: No such file or directory
Gnumeric failed to find a suitable default font.

Please verify your gnome-print installation and that your fontmap file
(typically located in /usr/local/share/fonts/fontmap) is not empty or
near empty.

If you still have no luck, please file a proper bug report (see
http://bugs.gnome.org) including the following extra items:

1. Values of LC_ALL and LANG environment variables.
2. Your fontmap file, see above.

Thanks -- the Gnumeric Team
[stan@judah stan]$ exit

Script done on Sun Oct 10 17:12:10 1999

Now, it is true that I have neither of these file. But for that matter
I did not before, and gnumeric worked :-(

What do I do to create one f these files? BTW all the other Gnome apps
I have tried work just fine, after the upgrade _without_ these files.

	Thanks for the help.
