GnomeICU file transfers

Hi

I have installed GnomeICU in my RH 6.0 machine which is
a P11 450 Mhz amd with 96 mg SD-Ram and I use Gnome/E
as my window manager.

I find after a time my nice momory load tops out and the machine
al but dies and if I try to send a file the whole system all but stops
till the file has gone.

Any thoughts or sugestions to a better program for this?
