RE: Love/hate relationship with RPMs

I've done a little more checking on where my RPM from .tar.gz process is
failing.  It does actually go through all of the steps required to build the
entire package, and all of those files show up (the binaries and docs) in
/var/tmp somewhere.  It seems that it's just not packaging things together
into the .RPM file.  Anybody got a pointer?  thanks,
