Sorry, I can't provide more: that's all it gave me!!! I tried it again, and
again, one line. Is my problem really that bad? Is compiling that hard to
get right? What's happening?

Fairly useless with only one level of stack frame. You need to go back
into gdb and do a "bt" to get the full stack frame dump.
