keyboard applet

I run RH6.0 and I didn't touch any rpms (everything is working
very nicely...).  ..but, the keyboard applet (gkb) doesn't remember that I
use Xmodmap (and not Xkb), so I have to change the properties every time I
log on.  

Has this been fixed in cvs or in some new rpm?

Gkb is very useful, if it wouldn't be for that small annoyance, it would
be perfect, (could it be smaller..?:).
