It would be nice to do something like this: <Shift>-<Del> deletes it
completely bypassing the trashcan. Regular delete will put it into trashcan.
Using toolbars or buttons to delete something should have similar options
except that <Del> key is replaced by the button. May be something like this
could be put as a default for a customizable option.
