ORBit question

I am righting a program that will use ORBit in the server part. I am
planning to have a ORBit/GNOME client. I am wandering, can I use MICO/KDE as
a client to connect to the server as well? Is it as simple as handing the
IOR to the client or are there special tricks needed to get ORBit/MICO
talking?
