No Subject

Hello,

I have been working around with gdm for about 2 months now. I can't seem to make it work.
The dialog appears but when I select login, the screen becomes black then freezes, and finally goes back to the original screen. When I examine the /var/log/messages, it writes :

May  8 16:30:34 PowerofMX gdm[272]: gdm_auth_secure_display: Could not unlink /var/gdm/:0.xauth file: No such file or directory
May  8 16:31:04 PowerofMX gdm[272]: gdm_auth_secure_display: Could not unlink /var/gdm/:0.xauth file: No such file or directory

When I check /var/gdm/, i can see the :0.xauth in the folder.

So what is wrong ? what do I have to do ?

Please, answer me.... I have to have gdm working !
