I'll probably eventually figure this out myself, but maybe someone out
there will know what's up.
When I try to run gnome-terminal the window shows up for a split second,
then disappears. Here's the dump:
--
undertow:~ 1>gnome-terminal
Error: unable to fork: Interrupted system call
Broken pipe
undertow:~ 2>
--
A month ago I was running Gnome from source, then I switched to RPMs
(did "make uninstalls" everywhere I could). Gnome-terminal stopped
working after I switched back to RPMs. Now I'm running RH 6.0, still
the same problem. One curiousity: when I log in as root, gnome-terminal
works fine. I tried starting over with new .gnome and .enlightenment
directories, and other .X files, too.
Any suggestions? Like I said, I'll probably eventually randomly find
it, but if someone else knows what to do, I'd appreciate sharing.
