| Got docbook dtd (3.1). But where should I copy the files?
I'll put this together asap. Probably over the weekend.
The problem is that there's no "right" place to put everything.
But that's no execuse for not suggesting a concrete example
layout that will work.
Try this:
Put the stylesheets in
/share/dsssl/docbook/...
Put the DTD in
/share/sgml/docbook/3.1/...
Put the entities in
/share/sgml/entities/iso8879/...
Put your catalog in
/share/sgml/catalog
and put lines like this in it:
catalog docbook/3.1/docbook.cat
catalog /share/dsssl/docbook/catalog
public "ISO 8879:1986//ENTITIES Added Math Symbols: Ordinary//EN"
entities/iso8879/iso-amso.ent
...
| Couldn't you give an ready to use example for o well working setup?
Yes, and I will.
| BTW, you should have a look at the gnome mailing list. This would
| show you that lots of people are having these problems (exactly spoken,
| all people who are not using rpms, that is, all people who try to install
| the docbook thing themselves).
I'd be happy to join the gnome and/or gnome-docs mailing lists
and help answer questions about this stuff (and improve the docs
so there are fewer questions). What's the subscription address?
Cheers,
norm
