configuration of email-applet?

Hello guys!
Can somebody please tell where I can configure the email applet for my
needs? Because my mail system is setup to sort my POP3-Mailbox
automatically as the new mails come in, no mails are saved on the
POP3-Server. How to I tell the applet which file to monitor (it is
~/Mail/INBOX)
