I'm not sure what the RPM install of Gnome gives you (you need gtk-engines
from the CVS), but assuming it installs the engines, all you need to do is
use gnomecc to change your gtk+ theme.

Also check http://gtk.themes.org.  It sounds like you're talking about raster's
Gradient theme.
