Of course, if you terminate with Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, the session manager
isn't given a chance to save it's session as if it's quitting.  I'm not
sure if it is a bug in the session manager or in GMC, but I'm inclined to
think it is in GMC since other applications seem to save fine (ie, panel
comes back up, etc).  I would recommend that you submit a bug report on mc
about this.  See http://bugs.gnome.org on how to do this.
