Help compiling balsa-0.4.9

Hello,

I am trying to compile balsa-0.4.9 on my RH 5.2 system running gnome 
0.99.8 (from RPMs).

configure proceeds just fine, but make fails with these errors:

All my *.idl files are either ORBit or GNOME related; so, I tried to 
run them through 'orbit-idl.' Each succeeded with the exception of 
'/usr/include/ORBitservices/CosTypedEventChannel.idl.'

I have not tried ORBit 0.4.0 yet...

Any suggestions?
