Hello,
I'm trying to add session management to one of my apps,
but I can't seem to get gnome-session working properly.
It seems to run okay, but nothing can connect to it. When
anything tries to connect, I get this message:
** CRITICAL **: file gsm-protocol.c: line 602 (gsm_protocol_new): assertion `GNOME_CLIENT_CONNECTED (gnome_client)' failed.
** WARNING **: Could not connect to gnome-session.
I've tried running the Default, Chooser, and Warner sessions,
and even a blank new one (e.g. 'gnome-session Test'), but it's
always the same. To the best of my knowledge, my DNS is set
up properly (I'd heard that that can cause problems).
What are some things I can do to troubleshoot this? I've
scanned through the session management docs. I'm at a loss.
I'm running RH5.2, with gtk 1.2.3 and gnome-libs 1.0.11, all from
cvs.
Thanks,
John
