WM-Applet wrapper

Hi,

I find, that there are a lot of applets for WindowMaker, which aren't
available for GNOME. They run well together with GNOME, but they aren't
in the panel, so they are disturbing.

Isn't it possible to write a GNOME-applet, which just gives screen-space
to the WM-applet. This way, they could run in the panel. Or am I wrong?
