E and sound quality

Hi,

I have compiled enlightenment in order to speed things
up, and it is faster now. But the sound has degraded,
and I'm not sure how I caused this. Libaudiofile and 
esound were compiled without any errors as for as I could
see. 

I'm using the latest tarballs from jimpick.com
as of 1/22.  Running Debian potato on a i586
with an SBawe64.

Anyone got a hint for me?
