Re: rpm install of 0.99.2



I too was faked out by the installation notes on www.gnome.org.
However, the file
ftp://ftp.jimpick.com/pub/mirrors/gnome/redhat/latest/README,
reprinted below, set me straight.  In particular the package you need
is gnome-audio, which is in the noarch directory.
gnome-audio-0.1-1.noarch.rpm


GNOME 0.99.2 Release
---------------------

Grabs the RPMS for your arch (i386/alpha/sparc) as well as the RPMS from 
noarch/, then rpm -Uvh *
