problems compiling balsa, genius, and control-center so far..

When trying to compile balsa, genius, and the control-center, I get the
following or similar, but with different filenames:

I dont know what else will do it, that is as far as I've gotten.. This is
from a checkout as of 10pm last night CST.

i586-linux-pc-glibc2
cvs:gtk+, glib, imlib, ORBit, and gnome-libs all checked out at same time,
and compiled fine.

any clues on that?
