Really? How?
When I try to build this, I get:
---
markbo@moredhel/home/markbo/GNOME/ORBit-0.3.91/src/daemons/interface_repository
140 ]gmake
../../../src/idl-compiler/orbit-idl interface_repository.idl
Error: syntax error
** WARNING **: Parse of interface_repository.idl failed
#
Usage: orbit-idl [options] file.idl ...
Generic options
-dX Debug level, from 0 to 4. Default is 2.
-Efeature Enable feature, where feature can be one of:
skeleton_impl Generate a template implementation (destructive)
inherited_ops Disable output of inherited operations
Preprocessor options
-Ddefine[=value] Define value in preprocessor
-Ipath Add search path for include files
gmake: *** [interface_repository-common.c] Error 1
Exit 2
---
I get no better luck running the orbit-idl build from this tarball by hand on
this or any other IDL file I can find, all of which compile happily with the
orbit-idl I made with the previous version installed here.
The important part of the truss appears to be:
access("./interface_repository.idl", 4) = 0
pipe() = 3 [4]
vfork() = 21771
close(4) = 0
brk(0x00063F08) = 0
brk(0x00065F08) = 0
fstat64(3, 0xFFBEEC48) = 0
ioctl(3, TCGETA, 0xFFBEEBD4) Err#22 EINVAL
read(3, " # 1 " "\n # p r a g".., 5120) = 5120
ioctl(1, TCGETA, 0xFFBEEB6C) = 0
Error: write(2, " E r r o r : ", 7) = 7
syntax errorwrite(2, " s y n t a x e r r o r", 12) = 12
write(2, "\n", 1)
---
Removing the #pragma line doesn't help.
This is on Solaris 2.6 through Solaris 8_alpha, all on a UltraSPARC 10.
Any hints anyone?
Thanks,
