While compiling mc-4.5.18 with egcs-1.1.1 and glibc-2.1 on a i586-pc-linux-gnu
I'm not sure, but I think there is a substitute for getwd in libc6 - getcwd
this mallocs the memory required and requires you to free it afterwards.
