I am trying to install gnome but when i go to install all the rpm's I get
the following error message:
root@localhost:~/downloads/gnome> rpm -Uvh *.rpm
failed dependencies:
gtk+ = 1.0.6 is needed by gtk+-devel-1.0.6-3
Yet, when i try to install gtk+1.0.6-3.i386.rpm it says it is already
installed:
root@localhost:~/downloads/RedHat/RPMS> rpm -i gtk+-1.0.6-3.i386.rpm
package gtk+-1.0.6-3 is already installed
error: gtk+-1.0.6-3.i386.rpm cannot be installed
root@localhost:~/downloads/RedHat/RPMS> rpm --verify gtk+-1.0.6-3.i386.rpm
package gtk+-1.0.6-3.i386.rpm is not installed
Is there some other version of gtk that I should be installing or something
else I should be doing?
Thanks,
Dennis
