Okay, this is getting old. The "black square behind transparent icons" problem
persists to 0.99.8[.1]/imlib 1.9.3. I tried inflating imlib 1.8.1, 1.8.2, 1.9.0,
1.9.1 and 1.9.2 tarballs, configured with my prefix and did "make uninstall"; then
re-built and installed 1.9.3. The problem is still here. [First time I
re-startxed, the X cursor was flashing red on me- what on earth was that? Removed
.gnome and startxed fine.]

Any ideas on how to get rid of this? Where's that config file I'm supposed to
delete?

Oh- Linux 2.2.1/Alpha, RH 5.1.
