Subject: Gnome session problem

i've just installed gnome-libs and gnome-core 0.99.7 on an i386 Linux
debian box.

The installation was made straight from source, no debs or rpms, and i
have compiled previous versions of Gnome in the past and they worked fine
more or less.

however, when i installed 0.99.7 and ran gnome-session, using the default
session file it made a segmation fault.

gdb output:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
idan:~> gdb gnome-session
sh: iceauth: command not found
SESSION_MANAGER=local/laflaf:/tmp/.ICE-unix/22934,tcp/laflaf:1537
Gdk-Message: locale not supported by C library
