First, I just tried the "Reduce refresh by using more memory" option in
the config editor. Before, trying to run enlightenment and GNOME was a
total puker for my P133. The improvement is remarkable.
When I try to enable "Mouse Pointer" in the keyboard focus section of
the config editor, enlightenment crashes. This is a major problem for
me. I use some data analysis software that displays data in a window
with a private colormap that is un-raise-able. AFAIK there is not a way
to tell this software to allow its display window to be raised. So
under enlightenment, the only way I can view the contents of this window
is to grab it with ee or xv, then look at it. What a chore.
If there's a way to make enlightenment insist on allowing this window to
be raised, I'd love to hear about it.
Next, my gnome-pager doesn't show miniature window shapes in its
different screens. When the little pattern turns on to indicate which
screen I'm in, then I move to another screen, the pattern doesn't go
away.
I tried Friday's snapshot, but I couldn't even run the config editor
with that sucker. I'm using the 0.15.0-20 RPM install.
