gnome-core refuses to compile.

I've been told that in order to fix bugs in the panel i should just
checkout the latest gnome-core.
However, now it doesnt even compile....

this is why:

I have no idea where is WIN_HINTS_DO_NOT_COVER but the connfigure script
doesnt tell me that i dont have it.
can anybody help me?
