gnome-terminal/zvt hosed?

Compiled glib/gtk/imlib from a 'cvs up' this morning, and
orbit/gnome-libs/gnome-core from a 'cvs up' a little while ago.


gnome-terminal seems completely hosed?  The main window opens to a
normal size, then shrinks to a small (10x2?) box.  Nothing ever appears
in the window itself, no command (-e) or shell is ever run.

To top it all off, the xterm from which gnome-terminal is manually
executed gets really confused too.  Why does it affect my xterm at all?
