X11/xpm.h missing in Solaris 2.6

As per Sun bugid 4092351, X11/xpm.h is not included in Solaris 2.6.
Neither is libXpm.so

Does anyone know of any workarounds for this?  Or should there perhaps
be some autoconf checks in gnome-libs and others?
