Hi. I'm trying to install from RPM's to Redhat 5.1.
I'm following the install order listed on the web-site, but when i get
to
imlib-1.9.2-1.i386.rpm i get this error:
failed dependencies:
libungif is needed by imlib-1.9.2-1
libjpeg.so.62 is needed by imlib-1.9.2-1
& I can't find these (yet) on the ftp servers. I have installed the
stuff under the 'support' tree (guile etc.) What am I missing & where do
I get it??
Secondly, i get alot of errors when I install a new rpm... Like 'this
conflicts with this other version..' then when I try to -e the other
version 'this & this & this depend on this...' is there a way to force
-e (like rm -rf) or just an easier way to install the original rpm
without conflict? Should I remove ALL my packages and start over,
etc....
I'm new to RPM's.. :)
Thanks ,
Graham Street
