Hi Everyone,
I have been using balsa 0.6.0 for about a week now instead of Postilion
which I normally use for mail. For the most part, I am very impressed
with its progress. I love the way that it looks and the fact that it
now has addressbook support using gnomecard. This last part is very
nice.
There are two things that are keeping me from switching to it over
Postilion. The first and most pressing issue is that my mail never gets
deleted! I delete the messages from the inbox and select "empty trash"
from the mailbox menu. I check the trash folder and all the mail seems
to be gone. But during my next GNOME session, all the mail that was
supposedly deleted reappears! Does any know what is going on here?
The second annoying thing is that I have to issue a manual newline when
composing new mail. When I reach the end of a line, Postilion and most
mail programs let you keep typing your message without having to worry
about hitting the "return" key. Not so with balsa. I noticed that
this behaviour also exist in gnotepad+ and gedit. Are they using the
same text widgets/code?
Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Am I forgetting a setting here or
there?

... PPPoE may not be a real, IETF-approved standard, but it has acquired the momentum
of a de facto standard.
And that means it's probably here to stay, whatever it's shortcomings. The Sympatico
rebels will probably have to get used to the fact that, just like VHS videocassettes
and Microsoft Windows, it's often the second-rater who wins in th end.
