Can`t reach control-center???

Hello there,
until yesterday i got a message "Can`t reach control-center." I haven`t
changed a thing, so i`m a little bit confused.

What could i do, to make it accessible again?
It is there... but perhaps in the wrong place?
Which directory should the right one?
/opt/gnome
/usr/local/share/
/home/.gnome
Usually gnome-stuff is installed in /usr/local/share. Correct?

I can find gnome-stuff in all these locations, but which one are the
correct ones?

Versions: 
control-center 1.0.51 
enlightenment 0.16.3
gnome-libs 1.0.54
SuSE 6.2
