I have some compile problems. I believe I reported problems of the same
type before, but maybe that's the post that never got through. Basically
there are two problems:
1)
libPropList, gnome-dom and gnome-guile fail like this in the configure
phase:
ltconfig: unrecognized option `--cache-file=.././config.cache'
Try `ltconfig --help' for more information.
configure: error: libtool configure failed
configure: error: ./configure failed for guile-gtk
I actually got around this. I replaced the ltconfig scripts in the
module directories with the one from the libtool in cvs. Why does each
gnome module have its own ltconfig scripts?.....
Are these problems because I don't use the bleeding edge cvs versions of
auto*?
I'm currently using...
Autoconf version 2.13
automake (GNU automake) 1.4
from Debian unstable packages.
2)
gdm is still looking for net/if.h when it should be looking for
linux/if.h. I've seen this in a number of programs, not just gnome ones
and I never hear anyone complain about it so I figure there's something
wrong with my system, but I'm damned if I know what. Perhaps it has
something to do with the fact that I'm using Debian, but not allowing
dpkg to control /usr/src/linux and /usr/include/{linux,net,scsi}.
