Ahhh..actually I thought, I had installed gnome-libs 1.0.8, but I got
confused. I nstalled gnome-libs 1.0.8 at home, but gmc didn't compile over
there either, but then I don't think I was using the latest gmc either.

I'll check out and compile the new version and see where that gets me.
