Window Switching Panel Disappeared

[SoloCDM <deedsmis ris net>]

The panel for switching between virtual screens on the taskbar in
Gnome disappeared along with the up arrow and question mark. How do I
get them back?

Also, _Gnome_ keeps locking up on me. What is the problem and how can
it be fixed? I'm running it under WindowMaker with 64Mb of memory.
