YA: undefined reference to `__deregister_frame_info'

*sigh*.  I'm one of those poor lost souls who is GNOMEing with RH 5.2, and I've
successfully gotten around the "register_frame_info" bug with the libfix.so remedy,
but now I'm having problems with Glade 0.4.1 in the configure.  It craps out on the
gtk-config part, and config.log reports:

I tried adding the "setenv LD_PRELOAD /usr/local/lib/libfix.so" line to the beginning
of configure, but of course it doesn't like it.  How do I get configure to see
libfix.so so this error doesn't occur?
