balsa and email applet questions

I've been wondering this for a few days now.. 
When in balsa, and the inbox is opened, the root cursor changes to the X.  Is there any way to prevent this, or is it just a bug that hasnt been worked out yet.

Also, the delete button on the toolbar doesnt do anything (figured I would mention that).

Another thing, would it be a possible idea to have the option and configurability to run a specified command when clicked with button1 or doubleclicked?  Just a suggestion.
