** ERROR **: Wrong permissions for /tmp/orbit-hawk

I get this after rude X shutdowns and when trying to start two gnome
sessions (on separate displays).

Don't ask me where that root gid comes from.

Also, I've not been able to put applets on the panel for some time. (**
WARNING **: TIMED OUT waiting to applet ID: /\d+/)

Also, could someone visit that hundreds-of-times-per-day cvs user with a
sucker rod so the rest of us can get updated? And what about those cvs
mirrors? Did anything happen on that front?
