problems with baboon

I get the following errors when building baboon:

text-item.o(.text+0x3cf): undefined reference to `mc_close'
text-item.o: In function `impl_baboon_Document_Item_save':
text-item.o(.text+0x67c): undefined reference to `mc_open'
text-item.o(.text+0x6d8): undefined reference to `mc_write'
text-item.o(.text+0x6e6): undefined reference to `mc_close'

What did I forget to do? Or what needs to be installed? gmc?
