If in the future platform specific java-gnome libs RPMS are made, yes, you
should be able to run java/gnome applications on different platforms
without recompiling.
The hypothetical "java-gnome" RPMS in itself is platform dependent, as it
consists in a java class archive and a native sharedlib.
