Sorry to disturb...
This might not be a Gnome issue but I've got two minor problems on my
system which affects Gnome...
I've spent my wekend replacing libc-5 with glibc(libc-6) on my system,
recompiling everything & finally installing Gnome(0.30 for a start).
My troubles are:
1)
glib in gtk+-1.0.4 does not create a glib-config script.
Perhaps it shouldn't. Perhaps my system is weird, but neverless this causes
trouble when I try building anything that id dependent of glib.
2)
When I compile gtk+ applications, they core dump before main has been
called.
My theory is that XLib still tries to run libc-5.
(My second theory is that egcs-1.1 doesn't work or that I've installed
glibc the wrong way, but console app's works just fine so I won't belive
in that theory yet...)
My serious problem is that I havn't got the sources for XLib (I am/was
using X11R6.3), so I cannot rebuild them.
I've tried to find some XLib sources, or at least some glibc compiled &
tarzipped XLib, but I've found nothing.
Could someone *please* send me a link to somewhere I can find the XLib
sources (the X development library)?
mvh
