I'm desperate, here

Hi, I sent a message about a week ago, but have gotten no response.
Therefore, I'm going to try again.

I would very much like to start developing gnome applications.
Unfortunately, I can't get anything to compile.  I get long parse
errors of header files each time I try to compile something.  The
error messages in question are covered in more detail on a previous
message I sent titled "Strange compiling problems".

I know that there are not duplicate libraries or files anywhere; I've
searched my whole system.

Even if you have no idea what is causing this, some type of reply
would at least let me know that my plea for help is being heard.  I
would, of course, be even happier if you knew why this was happening.

If I can't get this resolved within the next few days, I'm going to
have to do a clean install.  I don't want to do a clean install.  A
clean install is a pain.  Please help me.
