Gnome-libs compile problems

Hi,
hope everyone had a good holiday.

I'm still having problems compiling gnome-libs.
I refreshed, rebuild all preceding libraries.
Then, I removed all stale dependancies.
Next, I did make clean;make distclean; ./autogen.sh
I've tried a few other things, but I'm basically stuck trying to compile
gnome-libs/po.

The make fails at:
    ru_RU.po:517: missing 'msgstr' section.

I get several line of similar messages before the make actually halts.
Any ideas?
