mico won't compile...

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I've heard about how great Gnome is, so I decided to go try it.
Unfortunately, mico won't compile. I run ./configure --with-gtk (I've
also tried it with --with-qt, --with-tcl, and --with-ssl, since I have
those, too), then I run make. It fails with the lines:

make[1]: Entering directory '/tmp/mico/orb'
echo '# Module dependencies' > .depend
/tmp/mico/./admin/mkdepend -I. -I../include -I/tmp/mico/./include/ministl -O *.cc >> .depend
make[1]: *** [.depend] Error 139
make[1]: Leaving directory '/tmp/mico/orb'
make: *** [system] Error 1

It seems to be a problem with mkdepend, but what error is error 139?

I'm running a slackware 3.3 system, with gcc 2.7.2.3.f.2, binutils 2.8.2,
and fairly recent automake & co. I've tried this with the mico from the
cvs repository and with a tarball downloaded from the mico site.
Biniaries seem to be available only in rpms, and my rpm2targz seems to be
broken, and I can't find anything else. :)
If there's something I'm doing wrong, what is it? If there's a known
problem with mico, how do I fix it? If this is something I can fix by
RTFM, please point me to the FM. If you need more info, just ask.

Thank you.
