Undefined reference in gnome-libs

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello all,

Up until a few days ago I have been able to get gnome-libs to compile
out of the CVS. Now however I get the following errors:

../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -o htmltest test.o ../gtk-xmhtml/libgtkxmhtml.la -lXpm -ljpeg -lz -lSM -lICE -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgtk -lgdk -lglib -lXext -lX11 -lm ../intl/libintl.a -lm
gcc -g -O2 -o .libs/htmltest test.o -Wl,-rpath -Wl,/usr/local/lib ../gtk-xmhtml/.libs/libgtkxmhtml.so -lXpm -ljpeg -lz -lSM -lICE -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgtk -lgdk -lglib -lXext -lX11 -lm ../intl/libintl.a -lm
../gtk-xmhtml/.libs/libgtkxmhtml.so: undefined reference to `uncompress'
../gtk-xmhtml/.libs/libgtkxmhtml.so: undefined reference to `compress'
make: *** [htmltest] Error 1

As far as I know 'compress' and 'uncompress' are found in libz which I
do have installed. So what gives? This wasn't a problem until a
while ago.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ben
